Hey Pulse! I have tried disabling both firewalls (Windows/and Mcafee) and it stil did not work. the link button does appear, so it recognizes the network. But when i push it it says to go enable on the cdj's. I click rekordbox button on cdj's, and nothing notifies me to enable the connection. My cpu is running windows 8.1. I am totally stumped on this. Usually, on my old computer, it would prompt and ask for permissions. just click okay and good to go, but here that hasn't even happened? I even tried to hard connect it via ethernet cable directly to the cpu, and still nothing. Help meeeee lol!!

Thanks Lennon

You shouldn't have two firewalls configured on your computer - that's just bad news! You may need to disable ALL of McAfee, sometimes it has additional layers which continue to operate even if you disable some of the user-available features.

Do try it with one CDJ connected directly to the PC as this would eliminate the router as being a problem.

Okay, I will try to turn McAfee off and see what happens! I will let you know as soon as I try it out! Thanks again!

also disable your wireless completely, having it on causes connection issues if your trying to use the ethernet port

I disabled wireless, hard connected. link button showed up, the mixer shows up. i go to allow rekord box on cdj's and they still don't see the cpu. I took all levels of protection off the cpu and still it doesn't work. i drag a song onto the mixer, song appears on top. press play, and nothing. I am using windows e 64bit. I don't know what else to do. my old cpu running vista works, but it freezes up sometimes because it can't handle the demand of the program. this is a new cpu, and has more than enough power. don't know why this is happening. what else can i do?

What do you mean "allow rekordbox" ?

If you can see the players but the song won't play, that's usually a matter of not all of the services being allowed through the firewall or something else is blocking communication.

With only ONE CDJ connected to the computer, verify that ALL firewalls and file sharing are disabled, and that any other network devices are disabled (not just wifi, but if anything like Blackberry or internet sharing exists, disable those as well).

This isn't an issue of the computer, it's a networking or file sharing service problem.

Usually when installing rekordbox, it will ask for permissions to work with the network and such. I approved all permissions.

I was only able to see the mixer, when hardwired. none of the actual cdj's showed up at all. when I just use the wifi, the mixer doesn't show up. Are there any specific steps that I can do, to allow the appropriate network/file sharing capability? I have sat here for hours trying to figure it out, but I have only proved to be incompetent lol

If your firewall(s) are completely disabled, it won't ask for anything. If you're still having to allow connections, that tells me you still have some kind of network security enabled.

You shouldn't be using wifi; I'm asking you to try with only one device connected directly to the wired adapter.
