iMac record
Hi there I have my new cdj 900 what lead do I use to connect to my imac and what programme do I need to record me mixing etc Suomi can burn to cd some help many thanks dan

use a simple phono > mini headphone jack cable (aka ipod lead) from mixer to mac - use audacity to record from 'line in'... audacity is an open source app free to download - ideal for the job. Edit audio as required in audacity - when finished export your mix as 'wav' to the desktop... then open itunes, drag the file into a new playlist... give it a name & burn playlist...
there are other ways to do this via the usb cable... but unless you know how to grab sound using soundflower or similar... the above is probably the simplest route!

Hi there Daniel,
Personally speaking I would download Sound Studio from the app store for your iMac. I used to use Audacity and find it very buggy sometimes and not too easy to use. Sound Studio in comparison is great - user friendly and nicely laid out. It's not free, around £20 but well worth it.
