My opinion is that pioneer is going to go to the motions like the they did with the cdj 1000s. So this is the mk1 version then they are going to implement two features in a couple years which would be the mk2. While also creating the xdj 2000 with just a couple new features then the mk2 and so forth. Problem with this is midi controllers are vast superior in every way, in my opinion laptops where just used till technology caught up.
Technology caught up a long time ago yet pioneer and other companies are behind the curve not understanding that they are pushing midi controllers and softwares to be superior and there top cdjs/xdjs are soon going to be fazed out. Its easy just take the ddj sx2 and separate it in 3 pieces add some on board features such as hot cues full touch screen ect...allow it to be used with out a laptop even allow the rekordbox feature to be in the system itself no need for laptop. Charge the same price you have been charging 1999 each cdj/xdj and mixer which is more then enough money to create a system that can be used with or with out a laptop. Oh well I guess pioneer won't listen till numark and denon start coming up with more quality products which is what I warned about in the past.
