[Solved] RB 5.3 Library Restore (with Music) Windows 10 - Not Working

So I have been trying to consolidate all of my audio files from various folders and thought I would try the Backup/Restore function to see how that would work.  This was a follow up to an answer I gave in this post https://forums.pioneerdj.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360015491823-Moving-Disorganized-Files-To-External-HD

I selected the option to backup with music and RB proceeded to create the rekordbox_bak_xxxx.zip and rekordbox_bak folder with all the music.

I then renamed my Pioneer folder and Music Folders and created a blank one.  I started RB DJ again and it asked me all the questions as if it were a fresh install, and allowed me to get to the Export Mode screen with an empty collection.

I then went to file -> library -> restore and selected the previously saved zip file.  It started to run then gave me the following error:

My files are all safe so i'm not worried about the database, but was hoping that Pulse might have an answer.

Pulse Any thoughts?

PS Plenty of room on the hard drive the backup is on.

So I figured out the error and resolved my problem.  The machine that I did the initial backup from had all my music on a second internal drive (D:\Music - Its a Windows machine).  When I backed up onto a USB drive the backup function consolidated all music files onto the "Rekordbox_Bak" folder of the USB Drive (as expected).  The USB drive now had all of the music consolidated onto the new "Rekordbox_Bak" folder from the former locations on my D:\Music Folder.

My new machine has a 1TB SSD with a C: Partition roughly 940GB. It also has a very small D: drive as a Windows Recovery drive.  What I didn't realize is that when RB DJ does a restore on a new machine it tries to recreate the original file locations instead of prompting for a new music folder location. So it was trying to create a D:\Music folder on my new machine.  Hence the error message above, because the new machine had a much smaller D: partition than the previous, even if the C: drive was much larger, RB DJ didn't care.

My only recourse was to go back to the original machine and move my music folder to my C drive, have RB DJ find all those files again, and then do another backup.  This time I had no errors on the restore because RB DJ found enough space on the new machine to recreate the music folder.  Now at least I was able to consolidate the files.

You might ask why wouldn't I just do a move database, or simply copy the music files from one machine to the next, and then copy over the RB Database files.  I could have done either, moving the DB becomes tedious but straightforward.  Copying has a few issues as well but both would work, however neither would perform the consolidation I wanted.

For instance if I had a very large collection on my D: drive and dragged songs from various folders into RB DJ, the rest of the music files would not be relevant for a particular gig.  If I could consolidate from the large collection down to a much smaller subset, I could manage my music selections with more options.  Rather than having one very large database with all songs, and with many playlists, I could now have a much smaller DB, and very specific playlists.  Basically optimizing RB and the amount of music it has to manage.

Anyway I posted the above hoping it helps someone who is technically inclined.  I am now able to create very specific RB databases, or one very large one.  By learning the nuances of the RB DJ Tool I gave myself many more options for managing my music.
