DDJ-800 jog wheel displays with Djay Pro

Hi support folks,

I'm using Algoriddim Djay Pro 2 on a Mac and am hoping to use my DDJ-800 with it. It looks like the basic controls work well, but the jog wheels display nothing but the Pioneer logo on the left jog wheel and the Rekordbox logo on the right. In this video with the DDJ-1000 using Djay Pro 2 (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RnHqnGWEXfE), there is actually BPM, a clock hand that indicates the track is playing, and some sort of timing function on each jog wheel display.

Is the same functionality supposed to be on my DDJ-800?

@CJ > Sorry, there are no display functions supported by the DDJ-800 with djay.

@Erik > That link is to a ticket under your account, which can't be viewed by others. It won't be "fixed" because it's not "broken." While the DDJ-800 may work as a hardware controller for other software, the displays are intended for rekordbox output.

Hi Erik,

I submitted a ticket with my last line changed to "Could you please make the same MIDI functionality available on the DDJ-800 as on your DDJ-1000?"

I have to believe that the drivers of the two controllers (DDJ-800 and 1000) were developed by independent software developers who didn't communicate with each other. This is fine. If Pioneer is too large a company to respond to something like this, I'll find another controller from a different company that will better support Djay Pro. Right now, my DDJ-800 is basically just a nicer version of my DDJ-400. Without even the most minimal info on the jog wheels (instead of the ad for "Simma Black"), it doesn't justify the additional $550 cost. I moved up from a DDJ-200 to 400 and was hoping the 800 would give me the minimal info I needed on the jog wheels (like on the 1000), but, apparently, this is not the case.

And, to Pioneer, I am sorry, but Rekordbox looks like a clunky piece of software to me. It loads tracks way too slowly and the aesthetic design is just off.
