HELP - I'm pulling my hair out (and I'm bald) trying to get the PRO LINK working between my new XDJ-RX and my PC.
And yes, I've followed everything in here before asking.

So here is where I'm at.
If I plug the XDJ directly to my PC it WORKS. Both devices get an IP address starting 169.254, firewalls are off and it works like a dream.
Ok, so the next stage was to plug it into my home network, which I have a Virgin router acting as a DHCP server. When on this network, I can not get the PRO LINK to work at all.
Same settings - no firewall etc, my PC works (obviously) but no connection between the two devices.
I've disabled Home Sharing, File and Printer Sharing, made sure it's a public network for testing and the firewall is off.
I only have one network card installed, but debating putting another one in just to run that on the 168.254 network if I can't get this working any other way.
Can anyone point me in the right direction please. Hopefully I'm missing something obvious.

It seems to me that the router could be the culprit using traffic management features to block the traffic between your computer and the XDJ. Perhaps a simple network switch (aka "hub") would be the best solution as they're cheap.
Same Problem here with AVM Router. Direct connect works fine. With Router nothing.
@Holger > Same as per the post above; it's entirely possible that your router features traffic management which is causing the connection to show as unavailable. Unfortunately I can't provide technical guidance for a product I'm not familiar with, so it's at your own discretion to try making changes to the functionality or security of your router in order for it to perform properly ... or simply purchase an unmanaged switch and know it will work.

I'm pretty determined to get to the bottom of this so I'll go investigate the router and see what settings are on - I'll keep you posted.
Failing that, I really don't want to replace the router just yet, but a second network card in my pc is another option too I suppose.

Quick update - tried everything I can with settings on the router but I can not get this to work. Literally turned every possible security feature off but still no joy.
So I've put in a second network card and directly connected that to the XDJ and that works.

I know this solution might not be the best for others, especially those on laptops etc but this works fine for me.

@Michael > It may not even be a "security" setting so much as a traffic-shaping or network management feature which is looking at the data and thinking it's garbage (because much of it doesn't contain your typical computer networking packets). Glad to hear you've got it working, sorry it wasn't the optimal solution for your situation.
