Big trouble CDJ2000 Nexus with Rekordbox error: E-8302 (C658) CANNONT PLAY TRACK

1) Operating System: OSX Maverick

2) OS Type: 64 bit

3) Rekordbox version: 3.2.0

4) Using LINK: Yes (only ethernet link)

4a) LINK Connection method: TP-Link 

4b) Using with CDJs: CDJ-2000 Nexus

5) System: Macbook Pro 2010 

8) Is Rekordbox crashing at all: No

8b) If not crashing, are there any error messages:** E-8302: CANNOT PLAY TRACK (C658) ( ON THE MIDDLE OF THE SCREEN: Media or File is collapsed or unavailable)

Hi, I use Rekordbox since 2 years and half, I used the version 2.0 and now the 3.2.0

My cdj2000nxs are connected together with my djm900 with the switch: TP-LINK TL-SG1005+ and connected at my MBP 2010 (Maverick)

The error comes sometimes, not every time, but when that's happen I can't do anything during an unspecified time.

 

I tried many things,

I tried with another MacBookPro 2013,

I tried to change the switch,

I tried with an netgear router,

I tried with another OS ( yosemite and Lion ).

I tried with another CDJ2000nxs,

I tried with an new rekordbox library,

I tried to reset my computer,

I tried to plug the switch with my laptop with an USB NIC ETHERNET... AND NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING

 

ON Rekordbox: 

Rekordbox see the CDJ and the DJM but when I want put an music on the cdj, the CDJ is loading, and after 5 secondes,

this error come back : E-8302 (C658)

But I still can use the ''Cue" on the DJM90  but can't use the CDJ2000 nxs

IT'S VERY WIERD because major of the time that's work well...

Last time I went in Paris, and I can't play because this error came ( didnt see this error since 3 months ).

I play around 250 time, per year, that's why I use rekordbox and not USB key...  during the last year I saw this problem 5 times, and one time I can't use my laptop and rekordbox linked with the cdj2000 nexus during 5 days!...  And suddenly boom It's working well without did ANYTHING ! 

 

THIS PROBLEM MAKE ME CRAZY

 

I really don't understand because I had the same error with different laptop, cdj2000 nxs, different recordbox version, different switch....

It seems other processes running on the Mac are affecting rekordbox. Please find and send the list of processes running on your Mac as follows:

  1. Launch [Activity Monitor] from Launchpad - if you can't find it, simply type it into the search at the top. 
  2. In the View menu of [Activity Monitor], tick [All Processes]. 
  3. Click the CPU tab at the top of [Activity Monitor] to show the CPU activity. 
  4. From File menu, select [Print...] and from the PDF dropdown menu shown left below select [Save as PDF...] and save as a new file.

Please post a reply attaching the PDF file you saved.

Hello,

Do you have any news ? 

I forgot to precise, I live in China, and I use VPN ( Astrill ) but I tyed to unistall it, the problem is still here.

I tryed again with my room mate laptop... same same same same..

I bought for more of 5 000 E and** I CAN'T USE IT**.

I want to confirm that you have tried connecting directly from ONE CDJ to your computer via ethernet with the firewall AND WiFi disabled?

I confirm you, My wifi is OFF,VPN OFF, my FIREWALL is off. I also try to connect by Wifi. And yes with only one connect directly on my macbook, same problem.

I tryed uninstall my VPN but the pb still here.

i have the same problem and tried evrything but i still doesnt work but my pc is windows 8

@Lorenzo > If you're still having problems, here are some things I've passed along to another user with similar issues to test:

Check the computer:

・Stop using the External HDD.

・Use different computers, if possible, try Mac.

・Connect only with wireless if the cable connection does not.

  If wireless does not work, try a cable.

 

Check the CDJ

・Use other CDJ-2000.

 

Check the software to see whether error occurs other than playback function:

・When Link is established, leave it as it is for longer than the time for playing 2-3 tracks.

 After that, start playing a track.

・When Link is established, try browsing the DB continuously.

 

Check the track files:

・ If the issues occur when playing specific files/extensions.

 

More advanced option:

・Use Wireshark to capture packets.
