Rekordbox CDJ2000NXS2 DJM 2000 Nexus

Hi All

Apologies if this is wrong forum to ask this question as this is my first post .

I have long been a Serato user, I have recently got my hands on a CDJ2000NXS2 and a DJM 2000 Nexus .

For about a week a have googled the shit out goole watched numerious you tube videos without any luck.

Can someone please tell me how can I use my laptop with Rekordbox Installed to drag and drop my music onto my cdj's like I would using a serrate interface.

all devices have the latest firmware, Rekordbox is the latest version and fully licenced.

@Shane > Congrats on the new gear!

First, install the latest drivers and firmware for the CDJs and DJM.

Your gear should all be connected via USB to your computer (connect the DJM directly, use a hub for the CDJs if necessary).

Configure rekordbox to output the audio directly to the DJM as opposed to the CDJs (it's simpler that way).

Press the MIDI button on the CDJs, and with rekordbox in PERFORMANCE mode, it will ask (on the players) which deck you want to connect to, select the deck with the encoder knob, then press it to confirm.

Not much else you need to do!

If you waned to use rekordbox as an intelligent hard drive (with all the work being done on the players themselves), you can use the same connections, but install the LINK EXPORT drivers, and only connect one CDJ via USB, then use the ProDJ (ethernet) link to connect each of the players and the mixer. You don't need to connect the mixer via USB for this either.

Hi all

tried your suggestion and it works , can see what i want to see on the decks and control .

the only difference is i had to select CDJ and not the DJM for audio, is that a big deal ?

No real reason , i was not getting any audio from the DJm, so i was switching between the two. But now. I’m getting no audio at all any suggestions?

Well, I'd suggest using the DJM as it simplifies things -- let's start with why that wasn't working. Did you install the drivers and select that as your audio device within rekordbox?

Hi i will taking your advise and using the DJM , i have installed all drivers to my knowledge and DJM set as audio device

Thank you Thank you, I don’t know how i missed that, even though i know i flicked the switches over i was also concentrating on why it was not working on CH02 and CH03
